Ingredients

  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-2 small red chili peppers, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

  1. To make feta dip: Crush Feta: In a bowl, use a fork to crush the crumbled feta cheese until it becomes a bit smoother.
  2. Mix Ingredients: Add Greek yogurt, minced garlic, chopped chili peppers, and olive oil to the crushed feta. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.
  3. Add Lemon Juice: Squeeze fresh lemon juice into the mixture and continue to mix.
  4. Adjust Seasoning: Taste the dip and add salt and pepper according to your preference. The feta itself is salty, so be cautious with the additional salt.
  5. Blend (Optional): For a smoother consistency, you can use a food processor or blender to blend the ingredients until you reach the desired texture.
  6. Garnish: If desired, garnish the dip with chopped fresh parsley for a burst of color and additional flavor.
  7. Serve: Transfer the feta dip to a serving bowl. Drizzle a bit of olive oil on top and serve with pita bread, crusty bread, or vegetable sticks. Yield: Approximately 1.5 cups
  8. Enjoy!
