Before making a frappé coffee, decide what type of frappé you'd prefer:
In Greece, you will be asked how you'd like it:
- Plain (Sketos): 1 - 2 tsp of instant Nescafe coffee, no sugar, no milk
- Medium (Metrios): 1 - 2 tsps of instant Nescafe coffee; 1 - 2 tsps of sugar
- Sweet (Glykos): 1 - 2 tsps of instant Nescafe coffee, 3 - 4 tsps of sugar
- With Milk (Me Gala) : 1 - 2 tbsp milk, cream, or evaporated milk (to taste)
To a tall water glass, add:
- Sugar (sugar first to prevent the coffee from sticking to the glass)
- Instant Nescafe coffee
- Small amount of cold water - just enough to cover the coffee and a bit more
Whiz the mixture until a very thick, creamy foam is produced. You should be able to turn the glass upside down and have nothing pour out.
Add 3 or 4 ice cubes, milk, and one cup (or more) of cold water.
Add a drinking straw, stir, and enjoy!
